Welcome to Holt Farm Infant School Council

At Holt Farm Infant, we believe in fostering a collaborative environment where every child feels heard and valued. The School Council plays a crucial role in this, providing a platform for our students to voice their ideas and concerns. Comprising representatives from each KS1 class, the council meets regularly to discuss various topics ranging from school lunches to classroom activities. This initiative not only empowers our pupils but also instills a sense of responsibility and leadership from an early age.
Participation in the School Council is an excellent opportunity for our students to learn about democracy and make meaningful contributions to the school community. Each class elects two representatives who serve for a full academic year. These young councillors are tasked with gathering feedback and suggestions from their classmates before each meeting, ensuring that all voices are represented. They also help organise and participate in school-wide events, contributing to a vibrant school culture.
We encourage all parents to support their children in taking an active role in the School Council. Engaging with the council's activities can significantly enhance your child's communication and leadership skills. Additionally, it provides a valuable insight into our school's operations and decision-making processes, helping to build a stronger, more connected community. For more information on how your child can get involved or to learn about upcoming council initiatives, please do not hesitate to contact us.
